AS Resin

The scientific name of AS resin is acrylonitrile styrene copolymer. It is a polymer compound formed by copolymerization of acrylonitrile and styrene. Generally, it contains 15% -50% styrene. Transparent solid with yellow to amber needle color. Density 1.06. Has thermoplastic properties. Not easily discolored. Not affected by dilute acids, alkalis, alcohols, and gasoline. But soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, dichloroethylene, etc. Can be used as engineering plastics. Has excellent heat resistance and solvent resistance. Used for making oil resistant mechanical parts, instrument casings, instrument panels, battery boxes, tractor fuel tanks, battery casings, packaging containers, daily necessities, etc. It can also be drawn into a single filament. But it is mainly used as a admixture for the production of ABS resin.
