(1) General performance:
The appearance of ABS is opaque ivory grain, non-toxic, tasteless, low water absorption, its products can be a variety of colors, and has 90% high gloss. ABS has good combination with other materials, and is easy to surface printing, coating and plating treatment. ABS has an oxygen index of 18.2 and is a flammable polymer with a yellow flame, black smoke, charred but not dripping, and a distinctive cinnamon smell.
ABS is a kind of resin with very good comprehensive performance. It has high impact strength and surface hardness in a wide temperature range. The thermal deformation temperature is higher than PA and PVC, and the dimensional stability is good.
The fluidity of ABS melt is better than PVC and PC, but worse than PE, PA and PS, similar to POM and HIPS. The flow characteristics of ABS belong to non-Newtonian fluid, and its melt viscosity is related to the processing temperature and shear rate, but it is more sensitive to the shear rate.
(2) Mechanical properties

The creep property of ABS is larger than PSF and PC, but smaller than PA and POM. The bending strength and compressive strength of ABS are poor among plastics. The mechanical properties of ABS are greatly affected by temperature.
(3) Thermal properties
ABS is an amorphous polymer with no obvious melting point; The melt viscosity is high, the fluidity is poor, the weather resistance is poor, and the ultraviolet light can make the color change; The thermal deformation temperature is 70-107℃ (about 85), and the product can be increased by about 10℃ after annealing treatment. It is sensitive to temperature and shear rate; ABS can still show a certain toughness at -40 ° C, and can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -40 ° C to 85 ° C.

(4) Electrical properties
ABS has good electrical insulation and is almost unaffected by temperature, humidity and frequency, and can be used in most environments.
(5) Environmental performance
ABS is not affected by water, inorganic salts, alkali alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents and a variety of acids, but it is soluble in ketones, aldehydes and chlorinated hydrocarbons, and will cause stress cracking when eroded by ice acetic acid and vegetable oil.
Performance test is to simulate a variety of normal, peak and abnormal load conditions by automated test tools to test the performance indicators of the system.
